Friends of the 47th.

Dear friends,

The organisation Known as the “Friends” was conceived at summer camp around 1999, just as the new  kitchen was opened. There were a few of the diligent helpers at the camp who discussed the idea and thought that it made sense, but it took Bob Grant to get the ball moving.

Without going into the How, the Where and the Why the idea has caught on although initially it seemed a bit of a joke, however it is up and running and doing quite well. It has a committee which has regular meetings and fund raising activities, it has a Bank account with the Clydesdale, it is seeking Charity status with the Inland Revenue and needs practical and financial help to sustain it.

This is where you come in, you can join the “Friends” by filling in the bottom part of this leaflet and sending it with £5 to any of the committee members listed or you can pay it direct to their account at the Bank. The £5 is an annual subscription, thank you,

            Ian McLaren ,

Secretary.
